I had this problem, used the #0# thing to test the proximity sensor, it seemed to be fine (screen went green whenever my hand got close to the screen). Went to phone -> setting -> call and disabled the "turn off screen during calls" thing, power off, removed the battery, blew into every hole I could find, reinstalled the battery, powered on, went back and re-enabled the "turn off screen during calls" thing and now it works. Go figure.
Call Screen Lock , (Android)
Fortunately Google Android smartphones come with such feature where we can assign selected mobile numbers as emergency contacts and anyone can directly call those numbers from Lock Screen without any need of unlocking the mobile phone.
Sometimes you may need to call your family members urgently and the lock code, fingerprint, etc not working. In such condition, you can directly call them from lock screen without unlocking the phone.
Your phone screen goes off during calls because the proximity sensor detected an obstruction. This is intended behavior to prevent you from accidentally pressing any buttons when you hold the phone against your ear.
Proximity sensor is not rhe iasue. As many people have said, the screen goes blank during the call, even if it is sitting on desk, using speaker. This is really frustrating as it seems to be designed only for the phone. My phone can sit on a webpage or a game, with no activity, and stay open for 10 minutes. I make a call, and it blanks out before I am done dailing.
Many Samsung phones (like the S22 and many others) automatically blank the screen during a call. It has *NOTHING* to do with your settings, nor a bug, nor a phone case, nor a proximity sensor, nor a dirty phone, nor holding the phone to your head.
I am fed up with Android and their problems. I am afraid of making calls because of my phone screen that is always go dark while making calls, but immediately I took off my screen protector my phone call became normal pls try it
This is BS!!! My phone now has no protector, I just took it off, My husband calls my phone that is on the desk with the screen light. When the call comes in my phones screen goes black. I have to pick up the phone and push the on button three times and then the screen lights up. It has been bad enough that I have to push the side button twice to make the screen light up to do anything on it. But when one cannot answer a call because one cannot see the buttons, I am beyond PISSSED!!!!!! HELP ME PLEASE!!!! Oh I forgot. it is also difficult to call someone and the screen goes black so that on cannot check to make sure that we dialed the right person or that it is even connecting. Sometimes one cannot hear the ringing so one does not know if anything is happening at all.
To prevent others answering your phone calls, find the Incoming Call entry from the Advanced section, touch the lock icon besides it to lock incoming calls behind the password or pattern you have set. After that your phone rings and its screen will be locked when you get a phone call. This also serves as a good way to hide phone number and caller name on Android phone.
If you do not want others to use your phone to make phone calls as extra fee may occur, you can also use this app to lock phone calls with a password or pattern. From the Privacy tab of the security app, scroll down to the General section where you can find all kinds of apps on the phone. Find and tap to lock Phone app here.
I want that both dialog and incoming call screen be clickable. I have tried different solutions from this site, but some works in some condtions and others don't. I want to create an app like true caller, I have called an activity from BroadcastReceiver. My code works perfectly when the screen is not locked because the incoming screen is not full screen. But when the screen is full screen the dialog activity appears for few milliseconds over the calling screen and then goes behind the calling screen.
I've created an lock screen app and when I try to unlock phone, my lock screen activity is showing but the problem is when someone calls me and at the same time if lock screen activity is showing, the incoming phone not showing.
If your device is not rooted, the only way to get rid of that pesky "Emergency Call" button is to install a third-party lock screen app, which will replace the stock lock screen on your phone. Our favorite such app is called Hi Locker, and it can be downloaded for free from the Google Play Store.
Once you've installed your new lock screen app and set it up, you'll have to disable the old lock screen so that you don't have to unlock your device twice. Head to the Security menu in Settings, then choose the "Screen lock" option. From here, select "None," then press "Yes" if prompted. The next time you unlock your device, you should be greeted by your shiny new lock screen, and that stupid "Emergency Call" button will finally be gone.
The setup process should be about the same regardless of which module you're using. For Lockscreen Tweakbox, simply tick the "Hide Emergency" option. For Wanam Xposed or xSense, head to the Lockscreen section, then tick the box next to "Hide emergency call." Next, simply reboot your phone and that pesky button should be gone for good.
The first thing is calling showWhenLockedAndTurnScreenOn after onCreate to define that the activity can appear on the lock screen and that the screen should be turned on when it appears. I added the method to the activity but you can easily add that as an extension to Activity in case you use it in other places.
The notification will also not appear if you have an existing notification with the same id that has not been dismissed. Ideally you should cancel the notification by calling notificationManager.cancel(id) when the lock screen activity is destroyed.
Android notifications are a great way to notify your users they need to do something but they might not be work well when the phone is locked. Full screen activities come to solve that problem, allowing you to show the activity even if the phone is locked.
One temporary solution is to block touch interaction for a selected area of the screen and to disable part of the touchscreen. While you'd still need to fix the faulty screen eventually, it's a good short-term fix.
Even if you're simply making videos in the rain, accidental touches can cause pauses or even end the recording. It'd be great if you could disable the touchscreen so you can record video flawlessly and lock your screen in place.
If you find yourself struggling with the app-related problems mentioned above, disabling the touchscreen temporarily can help. However, there's a better solution rather than having to disable the touchscreen entirely. Screen Pinning, a feature introduced in Android Lollipop, lets you lock your phone to a single app.
While this feature works fine for a few instances, such as when you want to lock your YouTube screen, it doesn't solve the other problems discussed above. For example, it doesn't help with the ghost touch problem. For such problems, you'll need to actually disable your touchscreen.
To use the Touch Lock app, launch the app and then tap Start Service. You'll notice that the app icon appears in your notification bar. Next, head to the app you want to use, and when you're ready to lock the screen, pull down the notification bar and tap Lock Touch. Your phone screen will now be disabled.
The iPhone comes with built-in functionality to temporarily disable touchscreen input. Dubbed Guided Access, this feature lets you disable certain areas of the screen and even lock down physical buttons. Here's how to enable Guided Access:
It's possible on Android natively or via an app, as well as on iPhone, thanks to the Guided Access feature. In short, you should be able to lock your touchscreen on Android or iPhone with little effort.
If you are going through this situation, then try using an emergency call on your phone. Yes, it may sound unbelievable but the fact is, emergency calls work in some Android devices to bypass screen lock. Wondering how this happens?
If you have ever tried to bypass your Android lock screen, then you know that it is not an easy task. But the good new is that is possible to get rid of screen locks because of security flaws on old Android system.
Double tap on the characters you have typed. This will highlight the string and copy it. Next, open the lock screen and tap to paste the copied series of characters. Repeat this process several times until the series is not possible to highlight.
Continue pasting the strings till the interface crashed. This will eliminate the lock screen but the camera interface will turn larger. After some time, the camera will crash too and the smartphone screen will unlock. The home screen will show up and then you can use the phone as usual.
We have analyzed in detail how to bypass the Android lock screen using an emergency call. The vulnerability exists in most of the popular mobile devices and can be easily exploited by a user without any technical background. However, to take advantage, you have to follow the steps carefully. At the end, you can use iToolab UnlockGo (Android) which offers a hassle-free method of unlocking device.
If you are on an old iOS version, it is possible to unlock your iOS device quite easily without the need for a password using an emergency screen lock trick. In this article, we will be showing you how to unlock iPhone with an emergency call screen. However, does this trick really work?
Note: Even though the trick below may work to unlock an iPhone running on iOS 6.1, it will not give you complete access to your iPhone. The trick will only allow you to gain access to the photos, phone dialer, and the contacts. If you try to access other features of your iPhone, you will be taken back to the screen lock.
Step 2: Cancel the iPhone passcode screen. Again, slide to unlock and instead of entering another passcode, tap the Emergency Call button. Hold the Power button until the turn off slider appears. Tap Cancel. You should notice that the taskbar available at the top of the iPhone screen changes to light blue. 2ff7e9595c
